Carolily Jewelry Now Found at Most Wanted Luxury Resale

It is with the happiest of hearts that we share the start of a new chapter for Carolily...our very first showroom located in Most Wanted Luxury Resale's boutique!

You will likely be familiar with Most Wanted, as we've worked together on a number of occasions leading up to this monumental partnership, but would you like to know how it all came together? It wasn't without happenstance, a snowstorm, a lot of uncanny similarities, and an unwavering love for luxury that this all came to be. Allow me to share our story! 

How did we meet?

Back in November, I (Danielle) was walking through Pandosy with my younger brother enjoying the beautiful fall day. As we continued down the strip, I noticed a sign with the words "Most Wanted Luxury Resale" and an arrow pointing to the right. I thought I had visited every shop in the area, but this was new to me!

As I opened the doors to Most Wanted, we were greeted by the smiling faces of the owners, and the most fantastic array of luxury goods! I couldn't hide my excitement (luxury resale was something I missed from my days of living in the Lower Mainland!) and shared my joy with the owners. I introduced myself and discovered that the boutique was also run by the mother daughter team of Wendy and Emily!

As I didn't want to keep my brother waiting, I vowed to return the following week when Emily would be celebrating her birthday with a storewide sale (how could I resist?!).

The Beginning of Most Wanted

The following week, I returned to Most Wanted for Emily's birthday celebration, and spent time getting to know the lovely ladies. Emily shared the most fascinating career trajectory, starting with photoshoot production in London, where she had the privilege of working with luxury brands and publications such as Vogue, Bottega Veneta, and Interview Magazine.

Emily's career in luxury fashion also gave her a front seat ticket to what happens behind the scenes of the seemingly glamorous industry and the horribly unethical practices that are all too common. This led to Emily becoming a Community Organizer for the non-profit Remake, fighting to make the fashion industry a force for good. Emily has also founded "Rising", an education-based social enterprise dedicated to creating teaching resources on society’s most prevalent issues, like fashion sustainability.

The culmination of Emily's love for luxury and dedicated to sustainable business practices made the purchase of Most Wanted in October 2021 a no brainer! 

Our First Pop-Up Together

After getting to know the Most Wanted ladies and hearing how much we had in common, we approached them about having a pop-up in their store that December. 

Come the morning of the pop-up, we saw nothing but blue skies on the horizon and we were excited to see everyone. We noticed that the city crews were salting the roads when we arrived, but thought nothing of it. They were simply being proactive!

Well, fast forward a couple hours and the season's first major snow fall was upon us! With no one in sight, we closed up the shop early and all went home to curl up while the snow raged on. We would try again soon.

Our Second Attempt

And try we did! After the holiday season, we decided to host an early Valentine's pop-up and were convinced that Mother Nature would cooperate this time.

We had an incredible turnout, got to see many of our local clients and meet Most Wanted clients who were unable to make it due to the snow last time. There's nothing quite like trying the jewelry on, seeing how it sparkles on your skin, and feeling joyful as you find your new favourite piece. We wanted our ladies to be experience this all the time, but our studio was just not set up to accommodate retail hours. We had some thinking to do.

A Match Made in Luxury Heaven

While we love booking private appointments in our West Kelowna studio, it isn't feasible to have folks shopping throughout the day. It is very much a workshop where our jewelry is lovingly handcrafted by our team members, something that often requires uninterrupted concentration. So, we had to come up with another solution. We were in no rush and figured we'd let it mull around in the back of our heads.

Fast forward to March. Mom and I popped in to say hi to Emily and Wendy one day, and the idea of a partnership came up in conversation. First, it was more of a joke, but after we left the store, we couldn't help thinking...what if?

The synergies between our two companies were undeniable. Our love of luxury fashion, dedication to ethical business practices, two mother daughter teams, and even the fact that both Emily and I have partners from New York all made the idea of partnership incredibly intriguing. It barely took the 20 minute drive home to West Kelowna for Mom and I to know that this was right. The Universe had brought us the most wonderful opportunity, and we weren't going to let it pass us by.

Between tea date brainstorm sessions and meetings held over tapas and wine, the four of us came to a decision- Carolily would have a showroom style set up in Most Wanted and would start immediately! A permanent pop-up, if you will.

I can't express to you how giddy I have felt these past few weeks. A new chapter for both Carolily and Most Wanted, and a beautiful culmination of everyone's hard work over the past number of years. This was truly a match made in luxury heaven.

What You Can Expect

So, what does a "permanent pop-up/showroom style set up" actually mean for you? When you walk into Most Wanted, you'll now see a stunning display case filled with Carolily jewelry, just begging to be tried on and taken home.

If you come into the store on Tuesdays, you'll also have the chance to see me while I'm working alongside Emily. It's going to be hard to stay away from all the luxury goodness and jewelry, so you might catch me in there on other occasions, too!

You are going to see plenty of styling content from Most Wanted and Carolily on our social media. With spring upon us, I can hardly wait to pair our pearl necklaces with some of the silk blouses I saw coming into the store this week.

We will also be hosting various events together and already have two that you can put on your calendar!

Official Carolily Launch Party

On Thursday, April 11th, join us at the Most Wanted boutique for our official launch party from 11:00 - 5:00. There will be treats, prosecco and plenty of fun!

A New Chapter for Carolily

We cannot thank Most Wanted enough for embarking on this adventure with us. Our own retail space is something we have long dreamed of and this is a wonderful opportunity for us to dip our toes into brick and mortar beyond simply working with our lovely retail partners across Canada. This display set-up is our new pride and joy, and we cannot wait to share it with you!
