Carolily's Nine Year Anniversary

Carolily's Nine Year Anniversary

9 Years of Carolily: A Celebration of Love, Creativity, and Connection

Nine years ago, Mom and I set out to create something special—something that would blend timeless beauty with the kind of meaning that lasts a lifetime. What began as our mother-daughter dream has grown into Carolily, a brand that celebrates individuality, craftsmanship, and the connections that matter most.

Today, as we celebrate our 9th birthday, we’re taking a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come. From a sweltering backyard tea party to Paris Fashion Week, every step has been filled with love, creativity, and a deep gratitude for the people who have supported us along the way. This milestone isn’t just about us—it’s about you. Your belief in our vision has made every achievement possible. So, let’s take a trip down memory lane and celebrate the moments that shaped Carolily into the brand it is today.

The Humble Tea Party That Started It All (2015)

Every great journey starts with a single step, and ours began in July 2015 with a tea party in our backyard. It wasn’t a glitzy event, but it was filled with heart. We invited friends and family to preview our first designs and give us their honest feedback.

It was one of the hottest days of the year, and by the end, we were melting under the summer sun. But despite the heat, the day was a huge success. That tea party wasn’t just the launch of our business—it was the first time we shared our vision with others. It was also the debut of the first-ever Carol Necklace, a piece that has since become a signature of our brand. Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much has grown from that simple but special day.

Our First Photoshoot: A Backyard Dream (2015)

Later that year, we took another big step: our first professional photoshoot. We didn’t have a big studio or a huge team. Instead, we used the beautiful acreage surrounding our home near Fort Langley as the setting.

That photoshoot was more than just capturing our designs; it was about bringing our vision to life. The light streaming through the trees, the vibrant colors, and the joy on everyone’s faces perfectly captured what Carolily was all about. To this day, those photos remain some of our favorites because they represent the beginning of something truly meaningful.

Walking the Runway in New York (2018)

By 2018, Carolily had grown in ways we never could have imagined. That year, we were invited to showcase our designs at New York Fashion Week in collaboration with the incredible designer David Tupaz.

Sitting in the audience, watching Mom’s designs come to life on the runway, was one of the proudest moments of my life. There’s something magical about seeing your hard work recognized on such a global stage. It was a moment that validated all the long hours and challenges we’d faced along the way.

A Winery, a Sunset, and a Camera (2019)

In 2019, we organzied a photoshoot at Summerhill Winery in Kelowna. From the moment we arrived, we knew this would be a day to remember. The golden light, the rolling vineyards, and the serene atmosphere all came together to create something truly special.

That shoot wasn’t just about capturing our jewelry—it was about capturing the essence of who we are. It felt quintessentially “us,” celebrating beauty, family, and connection in a way that was both authentic and timeless.

Global Recognition: Vogue and Beyond

Over the years, Carolily has been featured in some of the world’s most renowned publications, including Vanity Fair, Glamour, Elle, and British Vogue. Seeing our designs in Vogue—not once, but three times—was a dream come true. Each feature has been a testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into every piece we create.

From Paris with Love (2023)

This past year has been nothing short of extraordinary. In October, we made our Paris Fashion Week debut, and it was everything we had dreamed of and more. Seeing Mom take her designer walk at the end of the show brought tears to my eyes. It was a moment that felt like the culmination of all the hard work, love, and passion we’ve poured into Carolily over the years.

But the magic didn’t stop there. We were invited to an impromptu late-night photoshoot in Paris with fashion brand Desire Avenue, with the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the background. The glamour, the excitement, and the sheer joy of that night are memories we’ll treasure forever.

Just a week later, we flew to London to present our Paris Fashion Week Collection at the Rolls Royce anniversary event at the Grosvenor Hotel. It was there that we sold the first of our one-of-a-kind pieces, marking the largest sale in Carolily’s history. The whirlwind of those weeks is something we’ll never forget.

Lights, Camera, Hallmark! (2024)

This year marked our Hollywood debut. Our jewelry was featured in the Hallmark movie Our Holiday Story, the first of two films to showcase our designs. Seeing our pieces on screen was a surreal experience, and it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come from that backyard tea party nine years ago.

Thank You for 9 Incredible Years

As we reflect on this journey, we’re overwhelmed with gratitude. From the smallest moments, like designing our first necklace, to the grandest stages, like Paris Fashion Week, every step has been made possible by you.

Your love and support have been the heart of Carolily, and we wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you for believing in us, for celebrating with us, and for making these nine years so unforgettable. This isn’t just a celebration of our brand—it’s a celebration of the Carolily family we’ve built together.

Here’s to many more years of love, connection, and, of course, sparkle.
