How to Layer Delicate Necklaces Like a Pro

How to Layer Delicate Necklaces Like a Pro

How to Layer Delicate Necklaces Like a Pro

Our new Delicate Collection is filled with wee beauties that are perfect to be worn by themselves or layered with other delicate necklaces. All of the necklaces can easily be worn as every day accessories or to add a little extra femininity to a night time look.

When layering your delicate necklaces, keep the following tips in mind and you'll always look effortlessly chic!

Tip #1- Start at the top

Regardless of the number of delicate necklaces you want to work into your custom statement, you will want to start with the shortest necklace first! Our shortest necklaces start at 15" and are meant to sit right in the hollow at the base of your neck, providing plenty of room for other pieces. From there, we suggest adding one or two additional necklaces at varying lengths.

Pictured below is our Michelle and Jennifer necklace, both made from sterling silver and Labradorite.

Tip #2- Use Different Chains & Gemstones

Once you have selected your first, shortest necklace, you're ready for necklace number 2! While many of our pieces are meant to compliment each other, add a little extra personality by choosing pieces that are crafted from different chains or gemstones.

The Wren and Jill pair so well together because the garnets in the Jill perfectly compliment the burgundy European  crystal pearl of the Wren.

Tip #3- Choose The Right Neckline

Depending on the length and style of the necklaces, you may want to choose different necklines. A deep V is always flattering, especially when you are wearing longer pieces. If your neckline is higher up, opt for shorter choker style necklaces to act as a focal point. Experiment with different necklines and necklaces to see which is right for you!

The Tetty and Rosamund are a perfect example of why varying the length of your necklaces with a low cut neckline work so well!

Tip #4- Make It Your Own

We have always believed that you should only wear jewelry that makes you feel confident and beautiful. When layering delicate necklaces, select pieces that make you feel incredible! Don't be afraid to try different combinations of textures, chains, gemstones and length!

For those who love minimalism, the Ruby and Maya are the perfect choice. A European crystal and plenty of sterling silver make a beautifully feminine statement.

The wonderful thing about layering delicate necklaces is that you can't go wrong! It is all about embracing your individuality and choosing pieces that best represent you.

As always, a friendly reminder for how to take care of your dainty necklaces- There is the possibility that some cosmetics/skin care products and perfume may discolor the materials used to create the necklaces. It is best to use perfume and hairspray before putting jewelry on. When not wearing, we suggest that you hang on a hook or lay in a jewelry drawer out of direct sunlight.
