Dominique One-of-a-Kind Set

Allow Donna to share her inspiration for the Dominique in her own words.

"I found inspiration for the Dominique from women as we embrace where we are in life.

Throughout life, women have always had to overcome obstacles, no matter what stage of life we are in. The obstacles come from society’s expectations of women (especially aging women) or we create our own obstacles. Of course, there are various other obstacles out there, but these are what I focused on.

We sometimes forget how strong we really are as we go through our day to day life. But as we age, we become aware of that inner strength and that we need to tap into that strength in order to get what we want from life, even if it means not following the ‘rules’. For this reason, hematite gemstones, large link hypoallergenic stainless steel and dark grey Austrian pearls were used in the design of the Dominique. The colours, textures and weight of this piece reminds me of armour. And there are days we need to feel more confident to meet the challenges of the day. When you wear the Dominique, you feel her warmth and the weight on your chest which is comforting and encouraging. It is my hope that when you are stepping out of your comfort zone or feel you are swimming upstream, the Dominique will make you feel there is nothing you can’t do."
