Are European Crystal Pearls Real Pearls?
When someone asks if a European Crystal Pearl is "real", they typically mean is the pearl naturally occurring.
Before we get into answering that question directly, let's first make sure we are clear on what European Crystal Pearls are.
What are European Crystal Pearls?
A European Crystal Pearl is a, dare we say, perfect replica of a natural pearl. They have European crystals at the core, are covered in a patented pearl coating, and have a flawless, silky smooth, rounded surface. They are simply stunning!
We love European Crystal pearls because they are...
- Highly durable
- Scratch resistant
- Versatile and offered in a wide variety of shapes and sizes
- Offered in 29 colours
- Lustrous
- Able to adjust temperature to match the wearer's skin
Where are European Crystal Pearls made?
There is only one place in the world where European Crystal Pearls are made and that is is Austria!
Founded in 1895, a particular Austrian company designs and manufactures high-quality crystals, gemstones, stones and crystal peals, as well as finished products. While our brand control agreement prohibits us from mentioning the company by name, a quick Google search will answer the question of who this mystery company is!
Are European Crystal Pearls Real?
Now that we've reviewed what European Crystal pearls and where they are made, we know that the answer is no, they are not real, naturally made pearls.
However, that does not make them any less spectacular. Some love genuine pearls because they are naturally occurring. Some love European crystal pearls because they do not involve taking anything from Mother Nature. And some, like us at Carolily, couldn't possibly choose between the two. Both European crystal pearls and genuine pearls have a place in our handcrafted jewelry!
